This is the time of the wild woman

“Genevieve Miles isn’t here to be palatable — she’s here to be felt. Blending psychedelic, witchy alt-rock with raw emotional honesty, her music channels rage, grief and release in equal measure. With a rapidly growing reputation for live shows that feel more like collective therapy than gigs, Miles is carving out a space where audiences are invited to be loud, unfiltered and fully alive. Fresh from BBC Introducing support, major festival slots and a headline UK tour, she’s stepping into what she calls “the time of the wild woman” — and she’s bringing everyone with her.” - Baby Step Magazine

Psychedelic witchy alt rock inspired by the likes of Slowdive, Wolf Alice and Courtney Barnett, Miles is “a true artist of today's generation” (Local and Live).

Together with her 5-piece band, her live shows are energising, joyous, affirming, therapeutic occasions to sing, dance and heal.

Genevieve just featured on BBC Introducing's main Instagram page, is fresh from headlining This is Tmrw's 'Ones To Watch 2026' festival in Birmingham this January and is on the front cover of February's Oxfordshire Music Scene magazine. She is now set for her headline UK tour this spring and a busy festival season.

New EP ‘then it gets worse’ (released 14th November) was celebrated with two packed shows at Truck Store, Oxford and The Night Owl, Birmingham. The EP has already gained support from BBC Introducing in Oxfordshire and West Midlands, including a BBC Introducing live session.

Past gigs include opening for Ellur, Low Island, Megan Wyn and Danny Mellin as well as slots at Camp Bestival, Truck Festival, The Great Escape, Wychwood Festival and Birmingham's What's Happenin Festival. Her wide range of influences was also celebrated when Fontaines D.C shared her cover of their song ‘I Don’t Belong’ for the online Rock the Breadline fundraiser.

Her music has been featured on a Hyundai advert, selected on BBC Introducing’s Top Tracks of the year, and endorsed by Goose and Gander.

On the live experience, Genevieve says: "I love throwing myself around on stage and shouting as loud as I can: it's for all those years that I stayed quiet, didn’t get mad, people pleased. This is the time of the wild woman: we are loud, emotional, ALIVE."
